YW Camp (4 & 5 November 2005)

We had a small budget but we had great fun. 13 young women from the KL Malaysia District gathered at the home of sister Eng Huey for an over-night camp. In the short 2-days one night camp, the young women managed to cover everything that a 3-days two night camp could achieve.

My camera ran out of battery so there are only pictures taken on the first day. The highlight obviously was "playing" with fire!

Things we did:
  • Learned about proper nutrition
  • Prepared a scrumptious BBQ (marinade chicken wings, pork chop, made garlic bread and salad, baked potatoes.)
  • Shopping for nutritious breakfast with RM5.00
  • Learned how to sharpen a knife
  • Learned how to start a wood fire
  • BBQ Dinner
  • Performed 2 skits and sang lots of nice songs
  • Chit-chat all night and got really hungry at 1:30 am.
  • Read about the First Vision
  • Learned about cloud formation
  • Learned how to tell direction by observing the sun
  • Took a short hike at TTDI park
  • Made bracelets and earings
  • Learned how to purify water
  • Learned how to treat someone who had fainted or suffered from heat exhaustion

Wow! What a long list. And best of all, we made new friends and became closer to those we already knew.
